Obedience
At 8 weeks we started training obedience with Luna. At Dogschool K2 in Ewijk we followed the puppy course, basic course and a combination course which we passed with success!
Because Luna was very energetic and busy with other things as a young dog, she had difficulties with her concentration and we decided to take a little break before starting with the courses on a higher level.
One year after this break, we started at KC Nijmegen with Elementary Obedience (EG). And I was really impressed. Luna is a great dog to work with. She learns very fast, has a lot of attention for me did all the exercises without any problems. We passed the exam on the second place (104 points out of 110) out of 15 combinations. I’m still very proud!

Coursing
Once in a while the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Holland (RRCN) organizes a coursing weekend for all Ridgebacks. Because Luna’s biggest hobby is running and she’s really fast, we also participated this weekend. It was really a lot of fun!
When the other dogs were running, Luna was already very fanatic and I had to hold the leash with two hands or she would have escaped!
Then it was her turn. The start of her round was amazing. She was on full speed and did great…..untill she was on the second bend. Then she realized how far I was I was I came back as fast as she could, haha. My mollycoddle…!
So I ran the round with her and she had a lot of fun. We’re surely going to participate again when there’s another coursingweekend! Pictures are taken by Kika.

Agility
Luna is a very fast and athletic built dog who loves to work together with her boss. On our dogschool we once participated in an agility introduction lesson and she did so well!  We are planning to do agility (just for fun) in the future with Luna.
