About Nick and Iris

We are Nick and Iris, 28 and 22 years old, and living in Malden, Holland, with our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Nick grew up with dogs as a child, but he was used to the will-to-please of Shepherds. When we decided to live together and Luna came into his live, a new world opened for him; the Rhodesian Ridgeback. No will to please at all and and very opinionated, almost the opposite of the Shepherd! 
But after a while, Luna and Nick became best friends and they really are a team together. Nick started to appreciate the traits of the Ridgeback and became also 'infected' with the Ridgeback-virus. So when Xavi came a few years later, Nick knew exactly what to expect and he is totally in love with both Luna and Xavi now.

Nick studies Safety & Security Management and is in his last year now; in July 2011 he will graduate. 
Besides his study, Nick works at a rental store (Boels) on Saturday and is a System- and Network Administrator for different companies. Technology is a big hobby for him and also at home he likes to work with computers, laptops, software, internet and other electronica issues.
And last, but not least, Nick is is member of the Red Cross Association in Malden.

Iris studies Psychology on the University of Nijmegen. She will probably graduate in 2013 on Industrial and Organization Psychology. She still has a lot of fun in her study, although it is al lot of work and you need a lot of discipline. 
Beside the study, she works at a nursing-home with Alzheimer-patients and rehabilitation patients. She's very skilled for working with elderly people and enjoys her work very much.
Her biggest hobby, are the dogs. She spends a lot of time in the woods and on walking with the dogs. She takes part in training, special dog activities and is the administrator/moderator of the Dutch Rhodesian Ridgeback Forum. 
There's one more big hobby for Iris: horses. She started horse riding when she was 9 years old. She did a lot of competitions in both dressage and jumping and you found her 3-4 days a week at the stable. When she started the Psychologie study, she had to give up the horse riding for a while, but she really can't miss it!

So we have a very busy life with our studies and hobbies, but there's always time for a big walk with our pride and it gives a lot of relaxation and joy!
